Dan's Story
Growing up I had 4 sisters and a twin brother, 6 of us and a mom who was determined to always have 2 family home cooked meals on the table every day; breakfast and dinner. I look back and think, wow, how lucky we were. After having 2 kids of my own I look back and I am amazed that she was able to do that without going crazy.

I had my share of fast food in high school however, what fueled my road to health was movement. I excelled and was in the water swimming at the age of 6 and competed through high school. I started training martial arts at 9 and didn’t look back, attaining a 10th degree black belt and jeet kune do certification training with some of the best martial artists in the world. I made running and weight lifting a regular part of my life.

I graduated with a B.S., in Education, Physical Education, and health certified from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and have 10 years of direct teaching experience at Parkway School District.

For me, I knew that teaching in the public schools was an important stepping stone in my career, so after 10 years it was time for me to leave to then start my own company, Moving with Character, LLC. I wanted to reach more students through the martial arts so I designed and developed character education programs and teacher professional development for elementary schools that became highly successful I trained over 40,000 students and teachers. As budgets over the years continued to decline in the schools I knew it was time to move on to other ventures.

Not long after, I connected with a business owner that was looking for a sensei to teach him martial arts. he started training, and after 3 months he had asked if I could train his employees at his company. So I developed martial arts programs for the non-martial artist to get them in shape, lose weight, look and feel happy, healthy and productive.

I have always been fascinated by the alternative health industry. How to support, strengthen and repair the body naturally and I have studied holistic approaches all my life. So with their training, I also included nutrition training, and specific supplements to support and rejuvenate the body. Many of my clients had joint pain, lack of mobility, range of motion and inflammation. Because of this I got certified as an Advanced Rossiter Stretching Practitioner which helps to restore range of motion, relieve and eliminate pain in joints. I also am certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK) which is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of health assessment.

I am committed to educate and support the lives of those who are opened and interested in living healthy, strong vibrant lives.
